George Adams
Partner, Fisher Phillips
George Adams is a partner in Fisher Phillips’ Louisville office.  For nearly two decades, his practice has been devoted exclusively to advising and representing employers regarding labor and employment matters in many states and industries.  This includes managing compliance with local, state, and federal laws, and defending employers against alleged violations in court, administrative, and arbitration proceedings.  George also provides day-to-day advice regarding harassment, discrimination, FMLA and ADA issues, wage and hour issues, union organizing, collective bargaining, labor relations, and other topics.  He has helped many employers avoid or reduce the risk of litigation and liability by developing strategic policies, practices, and training programs.

Cindy is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a SHRM Senior Certified Professional and a Registered Corporate Coach. Tony Bohn

Tony Bohn was promoted to his current role in early 2010 after joining Norton Healthcare as Vice President, Human Resources, in March 2009. Bohn has more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience in the health care field. He previously served as a Vice President at Baptist Hospital East where his responsibilities included human resources, employee health, leadership training and development, payroll, workers’ compensation, employee development, labor relations and foundation functions. Before that, Bohn was Director of Human Resources for University of Louisville Hospital; Vice President for Human Resources at Saint Joseph HealthCare Inc. in Lexington; Assistant Vice President, Human Resources, for Audubon Hospital when it was owned by a for-profit company; Director, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Manager of Human Resources for Caritas Health Services in Louisville; and Associate Director of Human Resources for University of Louisville Hospital.

Having served 10 years as an HR consultant and a compensation practitioner for the corporate headquarters of Total Quality Logistics, Candra is experienced in leading the development of all types of compensation and performance management systems in both public and private sectors, as well leading projects related to HR audits, handbook reviews, developing job descriptions and HR procedures, employee engagement initiatives, training and development programs, and strategic planning initiatives. Beth Davisson is the executive director of the Kentucky Chamber Workforce Center, and serves as the Immediate Past President of the Louisville Society for Human Resource Management and District Director for the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management. Beth has spent the last 10+ years aligning talent to the strategic plans of business. Ms. Davisson is a proven workforce strategist and consensus builder, with 5+ years advocating for workforce needs in the KY and US Capitals. She earned her bachelorette in Integrated Strategic Communications from the University of Kentucky, and Master of Business Administration from Sullivan University. Beth was honored as a “Top 40 under 40”, and named a “Top 20 People to Know in Human Resources”, by Business First Louisville, and is currently participating in the 2017 Leadership Louisville Bingham Fellowship program, focusing on “Winning the Talent of the Future.” Previous employers include Sullivan University and The Oliver Group.

Michael Duke

Michael Duke has led a remarkably diversified life. Michael is not only a gifted leader; he loves to teach others how to create and sustain high performance though talent, teams and culture. Michael started out in sales with a national hardware company and was promoted to become the youngest District Manager in the country. Next a distinguished management career in advertising. Michael earned a graduate degree in Management and HR in 1986. He soon discovered that he had the heart of a teacher and began a parallel career as a college instructor. As a natural outgrowth of his love for teaching, Michael established his consulting business in 2000 and now devotes his full schedule to consulting, speaking and training. He has written two books. “Coach to the Goal” was released in 2007. “Lead Like a Coach” was released in 2012. A third book “Inspiring Talent” will be released in 2017.

Kristin V. Dunlevy joined ProCourse Fiduciary Advisors, LLC with over 25 years of broad industry experience through her work for a certified public accounting firm, an actuarial firm and registered investment advisory firms. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Magna Cum Laude from the University of Louisville. Throughout her career, Kristin has served as an investment fiduciary in her roles as a president, principal, managing director, director of research, investment officer, manager, and advisor. Kristin is a published author and has co-authored two books, many white papers, and been quoted in local and international publications such as Louisville Business First to London’s Financial Times. She serves on the Louisville Employee Benefits Council Executive Committee and currently serves as LEBC’s President. She also serves on the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries’ Government Affairs Committee.

Cynthia Effinger

Cynthia L. Effinger has practiced law throughout Kentucky since her graduation from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 1998. Ms. Effinger’s practice is concentrated in the areas of employment law and commercial litigation. She also has experience with First Amendment litigation, securities litigation and complex litigation. Her employment law practice is focused on drafting employment manuals and policies, social media, wage and hour, non-compete agreements and workplace discrimination. Ms. Effinger is frequently asked to present seminars on employment law topics for various news publications and businesses. Jeanne was honored to be selected as Kentucky’s Ambassador for the CFP® Board. As an ambassador, she is frequently interviewed for national publications, including: NPR’s “Here and Now”, Forbes, Investor’s Daily Business, The Guardian, “Women Rocking Wall Street” Podcast, etc. She’s presented financial seminars to more than 50 associations in the Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee area.

As Human Resources Operations Manager for UPS’s Air District, which centers around its all-points international hub Worldport, Sharnika Glenn oversees Human Resources and safety initiatives that impact the roughly 10,000 employees in the Worldport operation. Sharnika began her career with UPS in 1998 as a part-time International Customer Service Phone Representative. Since moving to HR in 1999, she has held several roles in areas including Workforce Planning, Employee Relations and Talent Development. She was promoted into management at UPS in 2002, then to Human Resources manager in 2008.

Sharon L. Gold is a Partner at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP in Lexington, Kentucky. Ms. Gold represents employers in a variety of lawsuits and administrative proceedings brought by employees. My experience includes defending civil actions filed in both state and federal court, as well as defending against administrative actions before state and federal administrative agencies. Rob has served as President of Northern Kentucky SHRM and Chair of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, among other business leadership posts. Melinda Ickes, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion at University of Kentucky, where she is Program Chair of graduate studies in health promotion. Dr. Ickes is also a Faculty Associate of the BREATHE (Bridging Research Efforts and Advocacy Toward Healthy Environments) research team, serving as Director of the Tobacco Policy Research Program and Director of Go Tobacco-free. Dr. Ickes and her colleagues have assisted over 300 campuses and organizations work toward tobacco-free policies, and have published multiple studies related to evidence-based compliance strategies. She is also very active in professional organizations, including Chair of the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) University Faculty Community of Practice and SOPHE State Health Policy Expert.

Lynn Ingmire, SHRM-SCP, SPHR

Lynn Ingmire, SHRM-SCP; SPHR has over 30 years of human resource management experience. She has worked in various types of organizations including associations, manufacturing, distribution/transportation/warehousing, food processing and education, in small and large companies, in both union and non-union environments. Throughout her career, Lynn has been responsible for the full rage of human resource functions. Following her “retirement” in 2014, she founded her consulting business, Essential HR Partners, LLC providing training and consulting in human resources and leadership. She received her BS degree in Sociology from the University of Louisville and holds the designations of SHRM-SCP and SPHR. She teaches on-line HR classes for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and has been a presenter at their national HR conferences. Mauritia Kamer

Mauritia counsels employers on preventative practices to minimize workplace disputes, including advising employers on issues relating to employee handbooks and policies, employee relations, internal complaints and investigations, FMLA and ADA issues, as well as other employment issues which employers face routinely. She also provides training for attorneys, executives, human resources professionals, and managers on best EEO practices, preventing harassment/discrimination, and avoiding employment litigation claims. She also has extensive knowledge in the workforce authorization compliance area. She provides advice relating to I-9 compliance, corporate best practices during the hiring process, and emerging federal, state and local laws and regulations.
